Spicing up your Shakeology shake

If you have ever looked at any home workout or nutrition programs, you probably have come across Beachbody’s products. They make excellent workout programs, and also have their nutrition product that you may have heard of, which is Shakeology. Shakeology is a meal replacement product – essentially a milkshake that provides all your nutritional requirements without the hassle of shopping for ingredients or cooking. You can even make your own Shakeology recipes. If you are anything like me (lazy) or have a busy lifestyle, it should be something you give a go.

One minor complaint about Shakeology was that the shakes only come in 2 flavors – that is chocolate flavor and greenberry. You can order it as combinations of both, but there is no other flavor, so if you are having the shakes week after week, you might be crying out for some variation. Fortunately, Shakeology works well with other food for great tasting Shakeology recipes , so that you can continue to experience the healthy benefits and also improve the taste.

Chocolate Shakeology recipes:

  • 1 teaspoon of peanut butter
  • 1 cup of water

Banana and peanut butter shake: You can make your peanut shake even healthier with the addition of a banana which provides more vitamins and to make the shake thicker.

  • 1 scoop of Shakeology Chocolate flavour
  • 1 teaspoon of peanut butter
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup of water

Chocolate and Strawberries shake: For a slightly sweeter taste, try adding strawberrys in the mix

Mint chocolate shake: tastes very much like mint chocolate ice cream, and is my personal favorite

  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology
  • 4 drops of peppermintmint extract
  • 1 cup ice

Chocolate Mocha: I am not entirely certain that Beachbody would be happy with mixing so much caffeine with one of their healthy products, but it does taste good, and a lot healthier than anything you could get at Starbucks

  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1 cup of cooled coffee
  • Ice to taste

Chocolate Orange flavor is simple to make. If you like your glass of orange juice in the morning, you will love this combination

  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1/2 cup of orange juice
  • 1/2 cup of crushed ice

Chocolate and coconut flavor reminds me of a certain of chocolate bar that I won’t mention

  • 1 tbsp coconut extract
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology

Pumpkin and chocolate pie is absolutely delicous, unless you hate pumpkin pie (who hates pumpkin pie??!)

  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1/2 can of pumpkin
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

The berry version of Shakeology tastes just as good unless you a chocoholic. There are also brilliant recipes you can try with the berry version. You can always try mixing the chocolate and berry together, and this even comes prepackaged.
